Classic Cranberry Sauce

Tart and sweet, just like cranberry sauce should be. I think if people knew how easy this recipe is, they wouldn't even think about opening a cannned version ever again!

Cranberry sauce is a perfect side dish for dinner parties because it can be made the day ahead and served cold or at room temperature.

  1. Place cranberries in a medium saucepan. Add orange juice, water, salt, brown sugar, honey, sugar, ground ginger and orange zest. Stir to combine, then place over medium heat and proceed with next step as liquid comes to a boil.
  2. Once cranberries are boiling, lower heat and simmer until mixture has become very thick and jammy, about 25-30 minutes. Remember to stir often.
  3. Transfer the classic cranberry sauce to a serving bowl. Ready to eat!
